Article 1 – Purpose and scope

These Terms and Conditions of Use (hereinafter the “Terms”) define the conditions for accessing and using the following Websites (hereinafter collectively the “Websites”): VISITWallonia.com, VISITWallonia.eu/en-gb, mice.VISITWallonia.be/en-gb

The Website is published by Wallonie Belgique Tourisme (VISITWallonia), a non-profit association (ASBL) whose registered office is located at Rue du Marché aux Herbes 25-27, 1000 Brussels, registered with the Crossroads Bank for Enterprises under number 0888.366.085.

By accessing or browsing the Website, the user (hereinafter “You”) expressly accepts these Terms.

VISITWallonia reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. The applicable version is the one available on the Website at the time of consultation.

Article 2 – Website functionality and services offered

The purpose of the Website is to present the tourism offer of Wallonia, promote its destinations, events, service providers, and products, and provide informational content to both the general public and professionals in the sector.

The Website may also include interactive tools or platforms (for example: search engines, interactive maps, forms, links to external platforms, brochure downloads, newsletter subscriptions, etc.).

Specific services accessible via the Website are governed by dedicated terms and conditions, available on each service’s dedicated page (e.g.: VISITWallonia Pass, ORC platform, etc.). These specific terms shall prevail over these general Terms for any interaction with the relevant services.

Article 3 – Intellectual property

All content on the Website, including but not limited to its structure, hierarchy, texts, slogans, graphics, logos, icons, images, photographs, videos, illustrations, sounds, as well as all databases, cartographic data, software, and other technical or visual elements, is the exclusive property of VISITWallonia or its partners and is protected by applicable Belgian and international intellectual property laws.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, no intellectual property rights are transferred to the user through access to the Website or by consulting its content. VISITWallonia grants the user a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right strictly limited to private and non-commercial consultation of the Website, excluding any other use.

Without prior, express, and written authorization from VISITWallonia, it is prohibited to:

  • reproduce, copy, adapt, translate, display, distribute, or exploit in any way, even partially, any part of the Website’s content;
  • extract, reuse, or exploit quantitatively or qualitatively a substantial part of any database content on the Website, within the meaning of Belgian legislation on the legal protection of databases;
  • use techniques such as framing, inline linking, deep linking, scraping, or any other technique aimed at integrating or indexing the Website's pages or content for reuse purposes;
  • use any Website content for commercial, promotional, or advertising purposes without prior written consent from VISITWallonia.

The trade names, corporate names, trademarks, logos, domain names, and any other distinctive signs used on the Website are protected signs belonging to VISITWallonia or its partners. Any reproduction, use, or affixing without authorization constitutes an infringement under Belgian law and may be subject to legal action.

Some images, videos, or data may come from partners, tourism offices, or third-party contributors. Such content is used under license or agreement, and the rights remain with the respective rights holders. The user also undertakes to respect these third-party rights.

Consequently, VISITWallonia declines all liability:

You agree to:

  • use the Website in accordance with its tourism, informational, or professional purpose;
  • not undermine its proper functioning or integrity (including introducing malicious software, attempting unauthorized access, etc.);
  • not use the information on the Website for purposes contrary to public order, the law, or third-party rights.

The fact that VISITWallonia does not invoke, at any given time, any provision of these Terms shall not be construed as a waiver of its right to invoke it later.

If any provision of these Terms is declared null or unenforceable, this shall not affect the validity of the other provisions, which shall remain fully effective.
